About Elena…

Welcome to True Nature Counselling, a holistic private counselling practice. We will all experience personal challenges in our lives. Sometimes  these challenges are too much to manage on our own and it can be helpful to seek support from a professional.

I believe in people’s innate capacity to grow and heal, and in my role as a counsellor, I support that process.  This may involve providing resources that can help manage what is happening for you in the present moment, and offering specific therapeutic interventions.

Alongside traditional talk therapy, I work from a somatic framework exploring the mind-body connection as it relates to a person’s hopes for therapy.  If a client is interested, a counselling session may involve exploration through expressive avenues such as movement, writing, drawing and other forms of expressive arts that resonate with you.

I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver and I’m registered with the British Columbia Association for Clinical Counsellors. (#16653). I am also a yoga practitioner and certified yoga teacher. Prior to pursuing a career as a counsellor, I worked in the field of Adventure Therapy providing outdoor experiences to people facing significant life challenges. Connecting to nature is a large  part of my personal and professional philosophies.

I love the work that I do and I’m deeply honoured to work with people as they explore new aspects of their lives.
